Day 5: TMI Ahead!

Since I can't seem to put blogger posts behind cuts, I will do you the courtesy of saying warning, discussions of bodily functions lurk somewhere in this post, abandon hope all ye who enter, etc etc.

So day 5 into the vegetarian diet and it's going very well. My energy levels are up, my blood sugar levels are fine and I'm feeling pretty good. I had a slight craving for either fish or sausage (rowr!) the other day, but that didn't last very long.

Examples of the food I've been eating include a delicious vegetarian roast on Thursday, cooked by Talia; Dan's Patented Spicey Vege Soup, which blasts clear the sinuses of all those who brave it; a very nice All Day Vegetarian Breakfast thingee at Cafe Cuba and assorted other bits and bobs like vege rolls, pumpkin soup and baked beans.

Let me just say right here that holy crap my poos have been AMAZING. Regular as hell, the nose-destructo factor has been knocked off to a tenth of my normal bathroom abuse levels, and those who have ever had me at their place will know what I mean. It turns out that a lack of rotting meat in your lower colon makes you much less stinky. WHO KNEW.

I'm tempted to keep this going until my next doctor's visit in a couple of months, so I can get a good reading on my weight, blood cholestrol levels, and all that jazz. It would be nice to be able to see any concrete results from this over a longer term.
