Maps! Maps! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA
...I've decided that for my 12 week assignment of doom for design school this semester, I'm going to be looking into producing a high quality informational map of some kind. I got the idea when I was idly looking at a fantasy map I knocked together a while back, and thinking about a similar project that I've promised to do for a friend.
I may or may not end up doing that particular map as part of the assignment... since this will end up being a portfolio piece, I'll most likely focus on modern information maps (to throw up some fairly mediocre examples) since that would be something a graphic design firm would feasibly do for a client.
Excitement! I've always been a bit of a map geek, but now I actually get to research them and make something (hopefully) cool for class.
