I am now officially an Independent Contractor at CWA, until such time as a) they no longer need my services or b) they employ me as a regular staff type person.
This of course means that I get no holidays and that they call me on board as they need me each week, but the money is pretty good and Michelle hinted that there may be a bunch going on in the near future, so I'm happy to see what happens for now.
The first day went very well. The people were largely friendly, the work is initially pretty easy and I am told that I don't suck.
If the hours turn out to be regular enough I shall be finding a flat in the city. Oh yes.
