Hallo internets!
The island was awesome. Kinda cloudy on the first day; deliciously, searingly, bakingly hot on the second day. We looked at scenic locations, we walked along the beach, we went swimming and lay about by the pool like cats. I sunbathed for 2 hours only, but that was somewhat too much in one go as I ended up fried like a mofo.
Tender, tender pink shoulders, arms and chest that made sleeping somewhat difficult and walking in the sun a nightmare even covered up. Now it's finally going brown in an amusingly patchy way since I didn't get full coverage so Im gonna end up with very brown shoulders, mostly brown arms and bits of brown on my chest with an entertaining white spot where my pendant was sitting.
BUT! I sunbathed! Without a shirt! In public! For the first time in... well, I can't remember the last time I did that, basically. I'm still heavy enough to wobble disconcertingly when I run, but I went shirtless and didn't immediately implode from shame. I can't begin to tell you how that felt.
...okay, I can. It was fantastic.
