But I did walk out feeling like I'd done as good a job as I could have, that I walked in fully prepared and accounted for myself well. They laughed at my jokes, nodded sagely at my commentary on design theory and communication, wrote down things with pleased expressions when I answered questions and seemed to think that I was bringing something valuable to the table, as far as I could tell.
So I guess it comes down to whether somebody else is able to bring more than I can. If that's the case, then so be it, but I know I did my best so I'm satisfied.
