Bettererer.

Feeling better after a day of doing things. I played some Rockband with Michael in the afternoon. Our characters have graduated to flying about in a plane! Woah! I then did some geek research for a game I'm running and talked to some friends over the Tubes.

That afternoon the three Bachelors of the flat went out to the backyard and engaged in our usual round of football hackey, which was good fun. Due to being somewhat over par still in the reflexes department I pulled off a few shockers, but overall our skills are improving which is cool.

All in all a relaxing Sunday, nicely capped off with a coruba and coke. I'm forcing myself at gunpoint to be in bed by a reasonable* hour tonight. Monday is going to be about checking in at WINZ for crappy temp work, getting newspapers and going for a good long bike ride. I'll be doing that every day this week, plus assorted other projects.

...as a complete aside, I think someone needs to tell this guy that NO SHIT the Big Day Out is more about making money than it is about musical counterculture and rebellion. Reading through his article I was hit by an overwhelming feeling that many other writers have a) said it better and b) said it several decades earlier, yet he talks like he's revealing some amazing new piece of social commentary to the reader. Seriously, this discussion has taken place on so many other forums that the entire article just seems massively irrelevant.

Then again this is the New Zealand Herald.

*Reasonable for someone who is unemployed and feels that getting up at 9 am is civilised....
