Things Of Interest

This was a triumph; today my list was attacked, sorted and crossed out. Then burned and ceremonially scattered to the four winds while Gregorian monks in robes chanted around me and held torches. It's a Palmerston North thing.

I also had a pretty cool geek tattoo idea... instead of just getting the autobot symbol put onto my arm, what about an entire geek sleeve! Shoulder to wrist covered with a montage of all things geeky. I guess the main concern would be how dated it could potentially become, but that's something that can be mainly avoided by just choosing good designs. Anyway, it's an idea!

And now, here are some links that I found badwrong* for various reasons.

When browsing through Facebook, I encountered an advertisement that promised to help me win back my girlfriend, apparently through Jedi mind tricks. The bullshit I do just to entertain you people. I still feel dirty and even now picture the author as one of those horrific assholes who prey around bars trying out cheap psychological tricks on drunk girls.

Meanwhile, the i09 bunch share their darkest sci fi fears with you.

Gawker has an article on what may be the unholy next evolutionary step of online oversharing since Facebook and Twitter. As a guy who works in design, and by extension marketing, this fascinates me somewhat. But mainly it just terrifies me.

And with that, I'm getting me a cup of tea. Tomorrow the Beth-inator is coming over to do comic stuff. I'm hoping to have a couple of concept art pieces fleshed out with her by the end of the day. Plus I'll be practicing some Rockband at some stage since EVERYONE PLAYS IT.

*And after all, misery loves company. That's why so many people live in Cardiff.
