Prioritising

(Cross posted from the jobs blog and expanded)

Along with my planning things out on a weekly, instead of daily basis (and man is that so much better for getting shit done and thinking about goals, etc), I've been thinking about what is currently important to me and what isn't.

Short story, I want a job. Which means doing design stuff and making myself more employable, which means carrying on with learning web stuff. So the webcomic is still going to happen. Oh yes. But it's going to happen when I've moved town and I'm working. In the meantime I'm going to carry on script writing and doing character and tech design when I have the spare creative time, but I think this is the best way to go for now.

I guess the important thing for me at this stage is that I don't want the comic to be a project that gets shelved and forgotten. I really like where the development is going, and that's going to continue, along with updates about it on here. But I guess it's better that I slow it down for now rather than try to do too much stuff at once and end up canning it. Man that sounds weird coming from Captain Unemployed.

Man. Tired. Today I worked on some logo drafts, walked around town and attended Weekly Winz Meeting Of Stupid, sent off an application for temping work, got back into learning CSS and sketched up some uniform ideas for my webcomic. Time for bed. I'm reading The Princess Bride (exchanged with Tamsyn for my Transmetropolitan comic series). It's quite a nice read, just as fun as the movie adaption.

Zzzzzz.

PS: Just to show you that I am, in fact, still doing comic things, here is the top down view of the Nocturne that I'm working on.
