Incidentally, if any of you wanna be volunteer mentors for next year's batch, please contact me and let me know you're interested. Like many things involving kids they're always after more males to get involved, but nobody will get turned away. And I know that many of my friends reading this would make amazing mentors. DO IT.
And now we're coming into summer! Fuck yes! If there's one thing to make a person appreciate summer starting, it's a Wellington winter. I am getting shorts, even, and already my feet are redeveloping sandal tan marks. Astounding.
This weekend is the wedding of Craig and Sarah. I am MCing for them, which involves standing there with a mic making Pithy Remarks in between drunken relatives staggering to their feet and giving speeches. I've promised the bride and groom that I won't be too embarrassing, since after all what goes around comes around, plus Craig's grandmother is lovely and it wouldn't do to give the old girl a hernia by revealing the terrible truths about her grandson.
Current design projects: wedding invites for Tamara and Andy, plus a poster for a pub in town that's paying me with a 200 dollar bar tab. It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it.
