How many of you have strong feelings about Christmas, one way or another? Some of my closest friends loathe the holiday to the depths of their souls and for me it's a bit like watching someone kick a puppy to death. Don't get me wrong, I'm not
obnoxiously festive (though I did get me a four dollar santa hat from the supermarket that I've been rocking out around town). I don't own a christmas tree or festoon my flat with bunting. I am yet to wander the streets wassailing or hang mistletoe above the bed and give Tamsyn saucy, eggnog fuelled looks. But I do hold a quiet appreciation for the holiday in my heart and this year I'll be going to a Christmas eve church service to mark the Christian aspects of the holiday in my own way.
So, faithful readers. Are you pro or anti Christmas?

I like giving gifts to people and Christmas is as good an excuse as any. Also, solstice! And holiday! And summer! And getting invited to giant family gatherings!
It's all good.
I go both ways. As is my wont.
I don't like Christmas, but I'm not anti it in a pitchforks and torches kinda way. I just think its no longer synonymous with what people want it to actually mean, and has become just another inducement to consume. The stresses it puts on families is also pretty well documented.
