The Weekend That Was

Wow. Where do I even start? Well, let's get the mundane bit out of the way first; I got my assignment handed in after a week of late nights and way too much caffeine. Presentation went really well, I think, with good feedback from the critics.

AND THEN ANDY GOT MARRIED HOLY CRAP.

The wedding was amazing. Highlights include:

  • The bride and groom were brilliant and funny and held it together really well
  • Seeing everyone together again. Even Mark who very sneakily came over from Singapore and surprised the shit out of Andy. Well done Tamara for helping us keep it from him
  • All the boys very drunkenly belting out Faith No More's 'I Started A Joke' in the middle of the dance floor, much to the amusement of onlookers
  • Speeches were great fun. Mine seemed to go down pretty well, though really Andy and Tamara both knocked it out of the ballpark with theirs. Very funny and lovely
  • Best-manning it up! Hung out with Andy all day, helped keep him generally sane and didn't even mess up handing over the rings.
  • Hugely hung-over all day breakfast the next morning(ish) at Fidels.
I could go on. Everyone had a great time, I may have possibly gotten some freelance work out of Tamara's dad, the food was amazing, the bridal party photo-shoot was great fun, Tamara's bridesmaids were very cool, the wine was delicious and I got drunk enough to see triple by the time I staggered out of the taxi. PLUS I got to share the whole thing with Tamsyn which made it perfect.

Amazing weekend was amazing. Today I am doing bugger all and loving it. School work starts up again tomorrow, but for now I am happily wallowing about in dressing gown and track pants. Time for a cup of tea, I think. Jolly good.
