Reading Time

Fair bit of catching up to do for school. Yeeesh. The readings! They are mighty! I tried getting into them today, and I managed a bit of a start on the very dense 'Water and Dreams: An Essay on the Imagination of Matter' by Gaston Bachelard and.... oyyy. I'd be having a bit of a time with this material during a normal day, try getting into an academic essay on the nature of the elements and metaphorical representations in dreams and discussions of formal vs material imagination when you're rocking the tremadol.

In other news, Tamsyn's parents are spending time with me while I recover, which is really lovely, especially with my mum and dad being so far away. Tomorrow they're both popping over with books to read so we can spend the afternoon all studious like in the lounge. I'm enjoying the excuse to get to know them better and spend some quality time.

Rest of the week is just recovery time for the toes really, then next Wednesday is another visit to the doctor to see how things are doing and I should hopefully be out and about in the week following that. Probably with a bit of a dashing hobble for a while. If by dashing you mean wobbly and walking into trees.
