Momentary aside: I'm not a huge rugby fan as most of you know, but Tamsyn really gets into it and we couldn't not watch the semi final last week followed by the final this week. So I contented myself with making a note of all the hilariously homoerotic things that the commentators said during the match. We got to around 250 comments on that facebook thread, heh.
Sometimes I am 12. The rest of the time I'm asleep.
Anyhoo, so today being a holiday we went for a drive up to Kapiti beach with the lovely Mr and Mrs P where it was absolutely freezing cold and blusteringly windy. Because we are totally hardy folk this didn't stop us from loitering around on the sand for approximately ten minutes and then slinking off to eat fish & chips. We also stopped by Tamsyn's folks place on the way back for a cup of tea and to receive a jar of bacon jam which I am currently eating on toast.
If you haven't ever experienced bacon jam, well it's an acquired taste with some people it seems but I find it totally delicious. It involves bacon, how could it not?

The feets are being a bit troublesome still in the ongoing pain department, and the doc has put me back on antibioitics which should hopefully help get rid of any remaining bugs, with the added bonus of turning my pee an interesting shade of orange. Pain medication is still a feature of my life, but I've at least kicked the morphine now and have halved my tramadol intake.
I've noticed (and been informed of) mood swings being a feature of my ongoing drug useage, especially when I haven't taken them when I should, combined with my foot giving me shit, also combined with physical withdrawal symptoms. So that's something I'm trying to stay on top of now after going a bit crazy on the internet a few times.
Not that I would ever claim it was all the drugs and pain you understand. I know I can be a total bastard. ;-)
So that's my sporadic update. I'm going to try and save up my usual facebook posts for blogging for now on and just use FB for photos and other stuff. It'll be good to start regular writing again methinks.
