Not So Secret Shame

Those of you who hang out with me in the land of the Real, will know that my musical tastes can largely be defined as 'all over the damn place' and 'nothing one would normally hear on pop radio stations'. Normally I make an effort to avoid such benighted forms of media, mainly because a) songs get spammed to death and b) radio jockeys are one of the lowest forms of life, just above those little shits who talk behind me at the movies, and that's only because the radio can be switched off without 20 years behind bars.

I'm absolutely certain most of you will know who Kate Nash is, since 'pumpkin soup' has been spammed for the last X months all over the radio, TV, intertubes, etc etc. Upon investigation of the rest of her work, I find myself really liking it. The shame! It's so INFERNALLY CATCHY.

...on the other paw, I'm genuinely surprised I came to like a performer who's this current. Normally by the time I start enjoying music it's at least five years out of date.

...hey, at least she knows how to play actual instruments and stuff, right?

...I've got nothing.
