So, the school year has come for the last time, oh sing choirs of freakin' angels. Here is what's going on right now, in no particular order:
1) Graduation the first! This Tuesday is my first graduation, for the Diploma that precedes the actual Degree. Note the capital letters. Mum and Dad are coming down from Hamilton (over a staggering 500 km away for you foreigners. BE IMPRESSED) this Sunday, plus Annah is coming along with her Grandmother. Should be fun, even though the bastards won't give me one of those cool mortar hat things until next year when I graduate from the degree.
2) Green Door! I'm still the resident Design Slave at Green Door Commission-Free Real Estate, chained to my desk for a mere 16 hours a week now and putting out newspaper pages, brochures, posters and assorted Misc. Corporate Design Stuff. I still like the job, though I'm looking forward to stretching my creative wings and don't want to become too complacent with what is, to be honest, more of a mac operator job these days than challenging design.
3) Enormous amounts of editing! The Hog Rally footage has been captured, and is now being edited by we plucky students during our spare hours. We've received approximately 5 million DVD orders, which is impressive given our national population of four million, and will soon be retiring in Dubai on an opulant man-made island, sculpted to look like my penis from low orbit.
4) School! As mentioned above, this is the 4th and final year of design school. We're officially called the 'transition' students since we're going from diplomas to degrees, which means that basically we're lumbering dinosaurs who go around teaching 1st year's bad habits.
