I personally dislike the term Ms for women. I think if I were a woman I'd really hate it. The word to me sounds... waspish. Like someone wanted to make Miss sound grownup but screwed it up. Here is what the dubiously accurate wikipedia has to say on the title.
In any case, guys get to use Mr as a multi-purpose title so my view is that women should be able to take back Mrs without having to inform the general public as to their marital status. It would be difficult; even in my own mind Mrs brings up a married woman unless I stop to think about it, but getting rid of the somewhat snide Ms could be worth the hassle.
Whatcha think? Ms or Mrs? Can Mrs be saved from 1950s housewife overtones? Does Ms actually sound badass and I'm just totally wrong? SHARE YOUR THINKS.
