Aaaaaaaagh Recruitment

Having spent the last two days trawling through every single recruitment company in the Brisbane yellow pages and having, in that time, gotten up to M so far by 6 pm on the second evening, let me tell you dear readers that I've come to a few conclusions.

Firstly, 90% of these companies are bottom feeding mudfish who slap together horribly shitty websites ridden with nonsensical marketspeak phrases such as the following gems that I only wish I'd made up:

* self actualisation market paradigm
* value proposition realization
* THOUGHT LEADERSHIP™

...what the hell does any of that mean!

Secondly, whoever designed most of these websites need to be taken out back like Old Yella and mercifully dealt with because they all use the same five stockphoto images such as this:

...which always, ALWAYS have some smug bastard being smug in the foreground with some random smug bastards (usually token woman smug bastard and token black guy smug bastard, the above image really drops the ball in smug bastard race equality) in the background, who've had a blur filter put over them to suggest... something. I don't know. In fact I don't even know what I'm talking about. I hate recruitment websites.

I'm going for more tea now.
