Tried my hand at Nasi Goreng this morning*, which is an Indonesian rice dish. I think it actually just means 'fried rice' in Malaysian. Anyways, I used a flavour paste from the supermarket and fresh vegetables instead of frozen, and it came out pretty damn good apart from the rice sticking together. Not sure if I just didn't drain it properly since we have no colander, or else needed to give it more of a tossing (phwoar!), since I was using a regular frying pan and not a wok.
In other news, tonight is the Annah monster's birthday drinkies. Looking forward to chilling out with the peeps, getting pleasantly toasted and talking bollocks late into the evening.
Right, time to go clean the kitchen and resist the urge to go crawl off into my bear cave and sleep off THE CARBS.
* Actually midday due to me being awake until 4 am. Again. *Cough.*
