The stock take job is done. I was given kudos for my 'work ethic' (ie: not slacking off and turning up 15 minutes before I had to be there, unlike everyone else) and was even offered a full time job with Home Direct in New Plymouth. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA. No.
The recruitment company are also pretty happy with me, apparently temp workers who aren't completely lazy muppets are a bit of a rarity, even in a recession. Go figure.
The interesting thing about getting up at 6, I have found, is that after 3 hours of fairly vigorous work involving heavy lifting and dismantling metal frames and all that manly stuff, and then biking around town in the pouring rain for half an hour or so on errands, I became massively hungry and my body told me it must surely be lunchtime. It certainly felt like lunchtime. So I grabbed some delicious hot food which didn't even touch the sides as it went down, and then realised it wasn't quite ten am. Heh.
Currently deciding between having a bit of a nap or doing some web coding learning. Yawn.
Wellington tomorrow. Engagement party Saturday night and hanging with Tamsyn for two days thereafter. Rock.
