Jobs, Hunting Thereof

Right, so it looks like I have secured the cartooning job, or at least as much as I can without having signed any contacts. So... I'm cautiously going 'woohoo!' but am also keeping in mind that having R say 'yes, we're going to go with you' doesn't mean too much until I've signed a piece of paper. But! It would appear that I am on the road to victory. Royalties for the book have been discussed... I'm not going to get a huge cut, since there are two authors and also a guy in the US who is endorsing them for a small slice, but that's okay. This is my first outing and the exposure/resume content is more valuable than the money at this stage.

Also! Yes, there is more! I dropped off a CV at a place in town, and then promptly forgot about it. But Lo! The lady who does design on behalf of the guy who runs the business sent me an email and wants to meet up for a chat with an eye to possible work. So huzzah. I have time to print out a full portfolio too which is nice. Sooooo fingers crossed, it might result in some contract or freelance work, which would be quite delicious.
