Oh, Brian. Brian, Brian, Brian.

Decided to watch one of Brian Tamaki's sermons for a laugh, and also out of morbid curiosity (click the link at your own risk). Ohhhh dear. I mean, I know the bible is up for interpretation in a lot of places, and that's fine. But this guy takes his audience on a ride right out of context and into fairyland.

An example, you say? Why sure!

'Psalm 82, vs 6' says Brian, 'I said, you are "gods", you are all sons of the Most High'. He then goes on a spiel about how the Chosen of God are in fact gods, chosen ones, blah blah. Mmmm cult-tastic. I decided to check out the passage for myself, and it seems he neglected to mention the next verse, which provides the context of the whole damn passage.

"I said, 'you are "gods";

you are all sons of the Most High.'

But you will die like mere men;

you will fall like every other ruler."
