Potential Glory

This afternoon I sent off my first ever cartoon portfolio, which was a Thing all by itself, an achievement, because I'm trained as a graphic designer and here I am sending off an application for an illustration job with my own actual cartoons! Okay it probably doesn't seem like that big a deal for a design monkey to be doing, but it is. Just roll with it.

Anyway, not an hour later I got a response saying that she really likes the cartoons I sent, that the quick sketch examples I'd done to show I was thinking about the job had 'got into her head and made her laugh' and that she was showing them to her business partner and would get back to me by Wednesday.

Sooo, yeah. It could go either way, I know. But if I get this gig it would be awesome. I would be a Published Cartoonist. Trying not to get too excited until I hear back from them again.
