1) Date for Dan In Wellington Party is going to change to coincide with my flatmate Richard's birthday. Closer to the 29th of this month. I will inform the masses once a date is settled upon.
2) Applied for a helpdesk phone monkey job with Misc Bank Co™* which initially went very well. I had a face to face interview today and got a phonecall not 3 hours later, saying they liked me very much and were impressed with what I had to say, but weren't going to offer me a position on account of me a) being overqualified b) likely getting bored very quickly and c) unable to honestly say I'd want to make a career out of that kinda job. I candidly told the guy that I couldn't really disagree with any of that, and he wished me all the best with finding a job in my actual field. Ah well.
2A) Have also applied for many actual design jobs over the course of the last X weeks. Have only been rejected by one so far, which was a job so far back in the misty reaches of last month I could barely recall applying for it, so I have MANY MORE REJECTIONS TO GO. Whoo!
3) Vanessa's graduation party is tomorrow night. Trundling around to Tamsyn's flat tonight to help with gardening and moving things around and being a useful manly person.
4) I have joined a fortnightly gaming group at Jarrod and Steph's place. Huzzah! Currently it's being ran by Andy, who is taking us through wacky Call of Cthulhu adventures.
5) I love living in this city. I really, really do.
