I did manly things out in Tamsyn's courtyard (phwoar!) before the party to earn my keep, and waged war against the weeds and fallen leaves with a shovel and yard broom. And I didn't even lose any toes! Amazing.
Tamsyn and Vanessa were brilliant hostesses, and their party went really well. There were cool people, and a brazier, and outstanding nibbles, delicious punch and of course Steph's jaw-droppingly beautiful cake that she made. One of Tamsyn's hospo mates got amusingly drunk and was all like 'if you hurt her I'll rip off your legs and beat you with the soggy ends!' which was nice. Apparently I'm the first boyfriend to get this speech so I seem to have been cautiously accepted by the native tribe! (insert wookie noise)
Tomorrow there's an adobe conference type thing on that I'm going to with Craig and Sarah, which is basically just an advertising session for the CS5 software as far as I can tell. Should be interesting to see what all the latest shiny new toys are. Unsure if I'll stay for the whole thing, since it's from 9.30 to 4.30 but WHO KNOWS, ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN. These design software conferences can get totally wild, so I might end up waking up at 3 in the morning down by the docks with no pants. Again.
