Dungeon Fuckers

Just got back from Simon's place where we were play testing his new game of Dungeon Fuckers™, the fantasy game that explores everything from gender roles to body horror, to heroic hack and slash, to gritty fantasy setting tropes. And if you're unlucky, all of these things happen to you at once, at the same time. We somehow managed to avoid being turned into squishy pink alien troll-beings with no genitals, which is always a rewarding end to any gaming evening, and I think Simon's system stands up really well with the initial testing.

I'm very happy that Thursday has turned out to have two excellent fortnightly games with two very good groups of players. Andy's Trail of Cthulhu game is going equally well, and we're starting season two of that next week, minus a few sanity points after Seeing Things Man Was Not Meant To See. I especially enjoy that game because Jarrod and Andy are in it, two of my oldest friends, and in some ways going back to playing with those guys is a bit like being back home after many years.
