YAY WEEKEND

Deliciously busy week. Had work from Monday to Friday, which is going really well. I'm learning bucket loads and the office environment kicks ass. Luckily none of my workmates have seen through my UNHOLY FACADE yet, which is surprising since the cracks are showing after all! I'll probably be driven out by a mob wielding flaming torches before the end of next week.*

Had course training all day Saturday, so really my weekend is starting this morning. Got out of bed at a teeth dryingly decadent 10 of the am, after waking up at 8 and internetting for two hours underneath two duvets and a flannelette sheet. LUXURY! Breakfast was fish and mushrooms and beans on toast and this afternoon is going to be looking for boots with Tamsyn, as some of my first pay will be going on much, much needed new footwear. Turns out business shoes aren't so great for traipsing up and down the hills of Wellington WHO KNEW.

Today is the great and wise Taryn's day of hatching. Happy birthday! On this VERY HALLOWED DAY she was found high up Mount Victoria, her flight feathers not yet grown in and living off the flesh of unwary rogue yodelers. Some people say it took six strong men and a heavy net to bring her down to civilisation, and that three of them lost earlobes or fingers, or maybe just whatever shiny things they had on their persons. This may have included eyeballs.
