Tra La La

Hello internets. How the hell are you?

Blog updates are a bit sporadic at the moment. Life, it goes, fast and nicely. The job remains enjoyable, mentoring remains challenging but fun, things with Tamsyn are awesome, social life is great.

I'm looking into (and applying for since the deadline is coming up) postgraduate studies for next year. I'd be doing the postgrad diploma, and also staying with my job. Which would then let me go for my masters degree in 2012. My reasons for doing so are many and varied, but can be boiled down to expanding my skill set, opening up more opportunities, letting me teach at a tertiary level if I ever want to, making more contacts in Wellington, and taking my portfolio to the next level. So yeah, I have an interview this Thursday for that.

The mentoring program finishes this weekend. I can't believe it's been 20 weeks already. We all get up on stage with our kids and tell the audience what we've been up to, plus I think the mayor is there to say well done team and all that. To my mind the real work begins after that, because the plan is to keep in contact with the kid, but there'll be less support going on from the program.

Looking forward to that entire weekend immensely, actually. As well as the mentoring graduation, I have Trish and Lisa coming down to visit from Hamilton, plus Craig is having his stag night. Next weekend is going to be stupidly epic.

And now some photos that sum up the last couple of weeks with perfect accuracy.
