We are indeed going to be having a house warming, but currently the plan is to wait until our erstwhile landlord has paved the front area and finished the fence, so that there are two Outside Zones™. What with the inevitably huge invite list, we're keen to have as many spots for people to lurk in as possible, plus the less drunks tripping over loose bricks and killing themselves the better. That would almost be as bad as throwing a house warming and having nobody show up.
School begins! Soon! I am receiving emails galore, replete with timetables and terms of study and research practices and introductions to tweed wearing academics with excessive amounts of letters after their names. It is a mere eighteen days until I blight the rarified halls of Massey University with my hairy presence. Even now, the staff there are readying themselves with special tinctures and meditation programs.
I like living closer to town. I wasn't particularly far away up in Kelburn, but here I can stroll round the corner and be at the top of Cuba Street and watch interesting buskers and eat interesting foods and be shat on by interesting pigeons. Most of my close friends and associates live in the area too, which is cool; Aro valley seems to be the nexus around which my social sphere spins.
